What are the best noise-canceling earphones?
I am looking into buying some noise-canceling earphones to wear at work. They must be good and work as well as earplugs to effectively cancel noise. I am only looking for the earbud type as it's the only kind I can wear with my Hard Hat. I use a chainsaw every day all day, and it must be able to greatly reduce that noise. Thanks.
I ride motorcycles, and it involves removing the helmet and putting the helmet back on. This is a repeated task when riding sport bikes.
I have tried and tested plenty of high end earphones, like Sennheiser, Shure, Bose - just to name a few. These are very high quality and popular IEM (In-ear monitor) companies with great reputations. However - recently, I have found a company who sells the same type of earphones. The company is low key, but the earphone that they make are not.

The Helmet Noise Reduction In-Ear Earphones are very comfortable to wear, so don't be fooled by their edgy industrial looks. The black silicone fittings are very thin and soft. The larger black fitting feel less flexible, but still softer than the ones that come with Ultimate Ears Super.Fi earphones. I usually prefer those more rigid fittings - they provide a tighter seal in my ears, but with the Helmet Noise Reduction In-Ear Earphones I stuck with the smallest soft fittings. The small fittings go deep into my ear canal and provide a sufficient seal to prevent the earphones from falling out all the time.
For me, with medium sized fittings the Helmet Noise Reduction In-Ear Earphones stick further out of my ears than the Sennheiser CX 300 or the Creative EP-630, but they are still comfortable enough to use them under a hard hat. With the small fittings they go much deeper in my ear canals, making them even more comfortable which would probably work better with your hard hat. Different people, different ears - you can select which fitting best fits your ears when you get some.
These noise canceling earphones stay pretty well in my ears, even while moving around too. They never lost their seal or fell out once.
