Leaf Blower?
I have a Paramount PB350 1 HP Electric Leaf blower. It was working two weeks ago last time I used it, but a few days ago I took it out and when I switched it on, it wouldn't run and it caused the lights to dim and the circuit breaker tripped. I know a lot about electric motors, but I can't seem to figure out the problem. I disassembled the whole thing and cleaned the motor and everything out. I tried the motor while it was connected to it's off/low/high switch and it did the same thing again, so I bypassed the switch and connected the wires directly. It did the same again, so the problem isn't with the switch. Next, I bypassed a small board just before the motor and connected the motor straight to the plug. This time it turned slowly and didn't cause a surge, but the brushes sparked the whole time and the motor overheated quickly. The brushes are still fine, so i don't know whay the problem is.
its time to get a new one. may i suggest a STIHL blower. they are the best in the business. you can't go wrong with a STIHL.
