Sachs Dolmar
Removing flywheel off Stone saw?

I have a Dolmar Sachs 309 stone saw which I am currently in the process of rebuilding. I need to remove the flywheel to renew the seals and crank. I have tried using a 3 prong puller but it started to chip the sides of the flywheel so this thing is stuck on. I have heard people say just hit the crankshaft and It will come straight off any suggestions would be very helpful

You could try that, but I wouldn't recommend it. You could mushroom the end of the shaft and have to use a torch to cut it off. Try lots of lubricant and maybe TAP the shaft itself. Be careful, that stuff isn't tool steel and will deform easily.

BTW, I didn't mention anything about pulley pullers, you already have one.
